Holiday Magic Spreads to Buena Vista Street and Cars Land this Christmas at Disneyland

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are rapidly approaching, in fact, Sleeping Beauty Castle is already covered in snow! This year the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will be even more joyous, as the newly expanded Disney California Adventure park will receive a major seasonal makeover. The newly opened Cars Land and Buena Vista Street will be decked out for their first holiday season, and Disney is promising festive decor unlike anything you have seen at Disney California Adventure park.

Buena Vista Street - Elias & Company

As guests enter Disney California Adventure park they will be greeted by Buena Vista Street, a 1930's recreation of Los Angeles - the time in which Walt Disney arrived to begin his career as an animator. Walking onto Buena Vista Street for this Holiday season will be like stepping back in time to the type of Christmas which reminisces of years gone by. A dazzling, 50-foot Christmas tree - complete with vintage-style ornaments - will adorn Carthay Circle outside of the Elias an Company Department Store. Inside the classic department store, guests will have the opportunity to meet with Santa Claus and make their Christmas wish list known. Outside, Buena Vista Street will feature vintage decor, garland and town bell ringers.

Cars Land, a recreation of Radiator Springs from the Disney/ Pixar movie Cars, will also feature Holiday decorations. A whimsical "snowcar" will stand at the entrance to Cars Land, and each address along Route 66 will feature holiday decor that reflects the personality of the Cars character who lives there. Each character and shop owner of Radiator Springs will also have their very own Christmas tree, decorated as only they can.

Lanny and Wayne from "Prep & Landing" are also returning this year to World of Color, as will decorations to Paradise Pier and "a bugs land". Disney is also injecting Holiday fun into the Mad T Party and "Phineas and Ferb's Rockin' Rollin' Dance Party.

Across the Esplanade, Disneyland will feature the traditional Main Street holiday decorations that we have all come to love. Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle will return with its amazing holiday lighting - incorporating the 60-foot tall Town Square Christmas tree.

"Believe...in Holiday Magic" fireworks will light up the night sky with a climactic snowfall finale down Main Street, U.S.A., "it's a small world" mall and New Orleans Square.

"A Christmas Fantasy" parade will entertain guests of all ages as Disney characters will help to celebrate the magic of the Christmas season, as Santa Claus prepares for his big night.

The classic facade of "it's a small world" will be decorated with more than 300,000 lights, and Jack Skellington will present Christmas as only he can in Haunted Mansion Holiday. Guests of Disneyland can also enjoy games, music, crafts and meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at the Jingle Jangle Jamboree in Big Thunder Ranch.
